Couvrant tous les domaines de la vie quotidienne, le mobilier pris en compte ici va des parures personnelles aux meules, incluant jusqu'à la vaisselle en verre.This volume contains the specialist reports on the Roman small finds from the 1965-76 excavations at Usk, other than the pottery and coins which were published in earlier volumes in the series. Although the collection is dominated by material from the Neronian Fortress, it also includes the finds from the later Roman occupation of the site, which contributed until the late fourth century AD. The objects are arranged by function rather than by material, and the catalogues are supplemented by wide- ranging discussions of the various types. Among the more important groups are military equipment, jewellery and trinkets, shoes, glass vessels, domestic equipment, quernstones, tools, iron fittings and tiles. An index lists all the finds coming from individual contexts, together with their dates and references to other volumes in the series where the structural evidence and the pottery and coins are published. By using this index all the finds from Fortress contexts can be correlated.
